Enrollment Information
Sunrise Christian Academy is a certified VPK Provider. Requests for specific teachers must be written on the top of the registration form. Although we cannot guarantee class assignments at registration, all efforts will be made to honor the request. Tours of the school are always available by calling the Director, Barbara Hassall, at 305-821-5841. Tuition is based on 180 school days and must be paid whether or not your child is in school. All tuition payments are non-refundable. There is a 5% discount if the entire yearly tuition is paid by August 1. A 5% sibling discount is offered to families with more than one child enrolled. All registration fees are non-refundable. The core school day is from 9 AM until 1 PM for the preschool and until 2:30 PM for Kindergarten and Primary Learning Center. These minimum timeframes compose the Teaching Day for Preschool and Primary. Additional daycare is available either before school (from 7:30 AM) or after school (until 5:30 PM). Late fees are assessed after 5:30 PM or if pick up occurs outside registered "program" hours (i.e. registered as Teaching day and picked up later than 1 PM). To enroll in Sunrise Christian Academy's 2006-2007 preschool programs your child must turn 2, 3, or 4 by December 31 of 2006. With the exception of our 2 year old Toddler program, all children must be completely potty trained. For the Primary programs, your child must turn 5 or 6 by December 31, for Kindergarten or First Grade. For Second through Fifth grades they must have been promoted from the previous grade and provide a copy of their report card. All medical records and immunizations must be up to date. Our policies are non-discriminatory and we welcome children of all ethnic, social and religious backgrounds with the understanding that our curriculum is Christian-based. We participate in the voucher and scholarship programs from Child Development Services, Family Central, McKay and Florida P.R.I.D.E . We are a participating school in the Miami-Dade N.E.E.D. program for special needs children. All students are required to wear uniforms, which can be obtained through Ibiley Uniform. For additional information on uniform colors and types, you may view their website at Ibiley
