Let’s help our children (we are all children of God, no matter our age) understand what Christian Stewardship is all about.
Let’s teach our children about caring and sharing.
Do you know what stewardship is? It’s caring for, using and sharing the gifts God has given us: Life – Talent – Time – Treasure
Being a good steward is important, no matter your age. It’s our chance to say “Thank You” to God. We thank God for Family, Friends, Home, Food, Sun, Stars, Earth and all He has given us.
Here are some ways you can be a good steward. Take good care of yourself. Life is Gods’ first and greatest gift. Keep your mind and body in good health. Children can learn to bathe on a daily basis. Children can do some exercises like riding a bike instead of always being on the phone, laptop or in front of the TV.
Good health will let you develop your talents and abilities. Each of us has many talents, yes, we do. Some of the talents we have in the church are those singing and making music. Studying and learning more each day… Making things with our hands. Running, jumping, swimming and playing. But your greatest talent is your ability to Love others.
Show your love by sharing with others: share with church members, family, neighbors, classmates and more.
“It is more blessed to give than to receive.” Acts 20:35.

Use your time wisely. One of the ways is to help care for God’s creation. Girls and boys, women and men today are using their time to clean up litter in the park, lake, beach and other shorelines. You can help by disposing of trash in the trash barrels and dumpsters and never on the floor.
There are many ways you can be a good steward. Make the best use of the many special gifts God has given you! Christian Stewardship can be fun and helpful. Give it a try and enjoy it.
Some people have heard of the word steward, but believe it really is Stewart. The dictionary says that a steward is “a person put in charge of a large household or estate.” In church when we use it we mean a person that helps take care of everything God has given us. Being a good steward is a big responsibility. This is how it should be understood by us:
Everything we have is a Gift from God. God gave everyone unique talents. Some children can draw, others can sing, put together some pretty good puzzles. Some children may even be able to keep good time and do all things at the correct time. People build up their relationships; seek to share the gospel they have learned. Children are responsible for and with property that is theirs and belongs to others. A good steward cares for him or herself, so health is part of our responsibility. There’s not a person in the world that’s exactly like another. That’s because God wanted each of us to be special. God has given you what makes you special. “Each one, as a good steward of (read more...) |
